It all began with an intimate first meeting between Henry Cremona and “the one” who would become his wife, Yvette. Henry and Yvette, aesthetes at heart and guided by a love of life’s pleasures, went on to create their Haute Parfumerie with the sole aim of preserving and celebrating the beauty of life."
Henry and Yvette’s daughter, Anne-Lise Cremona, aware of having a treasure in her hands at a time when Haute Parfumerie was being standardized, did everything to ensure that Haute Parfumerie was tuned with her time. Independent and passionate, she has continuously innovated, opening the Maison to the world while preserving its traditional savoir-faire and unmistakable signature style. She brought together what could be described as a house of composition and a house of design, bringing truly unique collections to life. The very notion of Haute Parfumerie was revitalized with so much care, that it is now presented as a true global Art-de-Vivre.
With his innate sensitivity and a sincere commitment to preserving traditional savoir-faire, designer and artistic director Christophe Tollemer imagines a universe of forms, from bottles to cases, extending all the way to boutique interiors.
Initially a confidential house dedicated solely to bespoke creations, Henry Jacques was relatively secret. The places where one would come across the brand were intimate alcoves in personal apartments.
Henry Jacques has always defended its independence, being careful about its exposure and not intending to expand simply for expansion’s sake. However, in 2014, following the enthusiasm of Harrods, Anne-Lise Cremona decided that Henry Jacques would open and occupy a new area there, specially designed around the Maison : the Salon de Parfums.
Then, one step at a time, always seeking the perfect location with no compromise, Henry Jacques introduced Haute Parfumerie to a broader audience through unique "living spaces" designed as places to kindle conversation and encourage intimacy, rather than traditional shops. Henry Jacques is now engaging with perfume lovers through its own boutiques, established in the most prestigious locations across over 10 countries around the world. The maison is also set to expand its presence further across Europe, the US, and Asia in the coming years with boutique openings in Milan, NYC, Miami, Shanghai, or Seoul.
The Henry Jacques experience is one of intimacy and self-discovery, beginning with the encounter between an individual and the Haute Parfumerie. Through mindful steps and a philosophy rooted in listening and trust, the Maison transforms the selection of fragrances into a deeply personal journey.
The adventure begins with a first encounter at Henry Jacques, where the customer is introduced to the unique story of the Maison and chooses their first fragrance. Then, they are invited—and expected—to return, to share their experience with their perfume, expand their collection of Les Classiques, explore Les Exceptions, or simply enjoy the moment.
Some roam the world in search of Les Exclusifs; others begin to feel curious about creating their own perfume through Le Sur-Mesure. Each fragrance they choose reflects their unique personality, and as their preferences evolve, so does their connection to perfume.
Henry Jacques’ collections allow and embody an Art-de-Vivre through which Henry Jacques reveals its vision of perfume’s purpose. Henry Jacques’ Art-de-Vivre is not about ownership but about sharing and embracing a unique philosophy—one that places perfume at the heart of everyday life, opening doors to new perspectives through the power of olfaction. This Art-de-Vivre unfolds through myriad of fragrances, available in many variations, which can be interchanged, or carried seamlessly thanks to Les Accessoires. It accompanies individuals through every moment of life, inviting them to take time to connect—with their senses, with themselves, their emotions, and the world around them.
