Preserved Independence

To meet the uncompromising standards of Haute Parfumerie, Henry Jacques has always believed La Maison must remain untouched by passing trends and fleeting fashions.
Henry Jacques is among the rare Maisons to have preserved its independence—maintaining its own laboratory, atelier, and even a dedicated plot of land to cultivate its own precious Rose de Mai.
An enchanted haven in Provence safeguards the Maison’s traditional savoir-faire, continually enriched by innovation and the artistry of its founders, all in pursuit of freedom, unwavering quality and excellence.

Haute parfumerie vivante

Anne-Lise Cremona speaks of Haute Parfumerie, not as a metaphor, but because Haute Couture offers the closest existing parallel to describe the level of creativity and artistry at Henry Jacques. The official criteria for Haute Couture, as defined by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, mirror the very foundations of the Maison’s craft: bespoke creations, with intimacy and a sense of service as paramount, artistic freedom, the use of the finest materials, and the mastery of traditional techniques imbued with innovative concepts—all brought to life by hand within a French atelier, wholly owned and operated by the house.

Henry Jacques stands as an inspiring harmony of heritage and innovation, honouring tradition while continually exploring contemporary aspirations. La Maison follows its own rhythm, far from market trends and imposed timelines—just as Henry Jacques’ perfumes evolve on the skin: naturally, freely.
This is what gives full meaning to its signature, Haute Parfumerie Vivante.

Respecting and honouring the living

Savoir faire 6

When you make no compromises on quality, you must allow nature the time it needs, seek out the finest raw materials, collaborate with the most skilled craftsmen. Henry Jacques perfumes are mainly natural and created according to time-honoured principles of traditionnal Haute Parfumerie and are composed of premium raw materials, carefully sourced from all four corners of the world.

In its laboratory, ancestral extraction methods are used to honour and preserve the richness of the raw materials, allowing them to reveal their full potential. No unnecessary dilution, additives, or synthetic notes.

Henry Jacques honours the living by allowing natural molecules to take on a life of their own: interacting, evolving, and harmonising until they reach perfect balance.

Human touch brings fragrances to life

Savoir faire 7

The perfumer is an artisan of nuance, skilled in capturing nature’s secrets and extracting their quintessence. Like a musician, he carefully selects his palette of notes, blending them into a shimmering symphony of scent. It is the perfumer’s intuition and imagination that elevate a fragrance to a true work of art.

But Henry Jacques’ place in Provence is full of busy bees.
From perfumers and laboratorians to the delicate hands in the atelier, the machinery maintenance teams, and even the occasional pickers—every role is guided by human sensibility.

In the atelier, for instance, many hands ensure that Henry Jacques’ precious creations find their stunning flacons, adorned with gold ribbons or sealed with wax, before being perfectly presented in their boxes, ready to meet their future owner.

Every step of the way is crafted by hand in France, in a spirit of family and care, contributing to each creation’s uniqueness and authenticity.

An encounter of crafts
to elevate fragrance

At Henry Jacques, each collection is born from a creative concept and is part of the Maison’s unique Art-de-Vivre. To elevate its fragrances and allow HJ’s Art-de-Vivre to be fully experienced, Henry Jacques boldly embraces other high-end craftsmanship, uniting the know-how of Haute Parfumerie with the crafts of glass and crystal making, fine jewelry, leatherwork, and even gold and silversmithing.

Since its bespoke beginnings, Henry Jacques has built a remarkable relationship with the world’s finest crystal makers, jewelers, and leatherworkers—testifying to the Maison’s enduring excellence—and has consistently sourced the most noble materials to craft many of its collections.
